Three No Churn Summer Ice Cream Recipes

Three No Churn Summer Ice Cream Recipes

Summer is officially coming to an end and as sad as that makes me, I’m also so excited for fall and to be able to share some of my favorite seasonal festivities with you! However, we’re not quite there yet, and I wanted to say bye to summer with one more light and delicious treat for you all! Today I’m going to show you how to make no churn ice cream with three different summer flavors. No churn ice cream is incredibly easy to make and allows for so much creativity in making your own flavors. That being said, you can expect a lot more of these recipes from me in the future.

This ice cream is so tasty and fun to make. It still has the taste of good ol’ traditional ice cream but there’s no hassle in making it. If homemade ice cream has intimidated you in the past, say bye bye to that fear and try this recipe out :). I just know these recipes will be a hit in your life! I have a lot of fun flavors to share today so I’m going to try and break it down as organized and concise as possible. Let’s get started.

No matter what flavor of no churn ice cream you plan on making, you are always going to start with the same base: heavy cream whipped to stiff peaks and sweetened condensed milk.

The next steps are simple and you’ll follow them every time no matter the flavors/extra ingredients chosen. Once you’ve whipped your heavy cream to stiff peaks, set aside and pour your sweetened condensed milk into a separate bowl. Grab your desired flavorings and mix them into the sweetened condensed milk. Next, gently fold the whipped cream into the sweetened condensed milk mixture and pour into a container. Cover and freeze for 8 hours to overnight. And that is it! You’ll have delicious homemade ice cream on your hands. I told you it was easy. Now let me show you the summer flavors I chose :).

Key Lime Pie:

After whipping the cream to stiff peaks, grab sweetened condensed milk, lime juice, lime zest, and graham cracker pie crust.

Add the lime juice and zest into the sweetened condensed milk. Break up the crust and add to the mixture as well. I used a pre-made store bought crust, but homemade broken up crust would be wonderful!

Fold the cream in gently, and the pour into a container and freeze. I also added some extra lime zest on top for flavor and looks! Completely optional:)

Voila! Key lime pie ice cream. So delicious and fresh!

Caramel Banana Nut Bread:

This one is so fun! I was inspired by a classic banana split but wanted to do something little different. Once your whipping cream has reached stiff peaks, grab sweetened condensed milk, leftover banana bread, toasted almonds and salted caramel.

Cube the banana bread and add 1/4 of it as well as 1/4 of the almonds and a drizzle of salted caramel to the sweetened condensed milk.

Gently fold in the whipped cream. Add half of this base of your container, followed by another drizzle of caramel, and a little more toasted almonds and banana bread.

Add the rest of the base to the container and add the last bit of almonds and banana bread, as well as one last drizzle of caramel. Cover and freeze.

And that’s it! This flavor is so decadent and summery at the same time. It is a great way to use up any left over banana bread. It would even work great with some leftover banana cream pie. Again, the possibilities are endless.

Mixed Summer Berry and Waffle Cone:

My inspiration for this flavor was actually a candle from Bath and Body Works. It smelled heavenly, like real fresh waffle cones with berry sauce. I had the idea to make this treat homemade right away.

Start by making the berry compote. Add the berries, brown sugar, and lemon juice to a sauce pan. Cook until reduced and syrupy  (**more directions in recipe and notes) and set aside to cool.

Again, whip the cream to stiff peaks. Grab the sweetened condensed milk and compote, as well as some broken up waffle cone pieces. This recipe would be incredible with homemade waffle cones if you could do it!

Add a spoonful of the berry compote to the sweetened condensed milk, as well as 1/4 of the cone pieces. Mix and gently fold in the whipped cream. Add a quarter of this base to a container. Drop in more of the compote and swirl with a knife, and add in more cones.

Repeat these steps with the last two quarters of the compote and waffle cones. Cover and freeze.

This is another wonderful summer treat that I think would be a major crowd pleaser!

I hope you guys will try at least one if not all of these recipes. They are absolutely delightful, and there is something here for everyone 🙂

Hope everyone has had a wonderful summer and enjoys these last couple weeks of August! Enjoy!

With Love,

Jenna

    YUMMMMMMM
We ate all the mini banana muffins the past 2 weeks. The banana recipe now allows me to make some more mini banana muffins. I added brown sugar instead of sugar. Yummmy flavor to the muffins. Thank you for the new recipes.
