We still have a couple months of winter to go and if you’re anything like me, your skin is not in your most favorite state. It is a lot easier to feel great about your bare faced appearance when your skin isn’t dry or dull, or when it looks like you haven’t slept in months even though you have. Our bodies change with the seasons and that is something that I have accepted, but I have also looked out for products every year that can help winter skin feel better! These are products I have felt make me feel much better in the winter months, so I’ll keep it short and sweet, because today I want to share my current winter skincare favorites! Let’s get to it 🙂

1. Trader Joe’s Rich Hydrating Face Sheet Mask:
I have fallen completely in love with this sheet mask. It feels instantly hydrating on the skin and refreshingly cool as well. It has soothing properties with ingredients like chamomile, honey, rose hip, cucumber, green tea and more. Plus, I’m always looking for products with hyaluronic acid since I have naturally dry skin. Trader Joe’s keeps pleasantly surprising me with their skincare as of late, and I’m looking forward to trying more of their newer products 🙂

2. Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask
There’s nothing worse than the feeling of dry lips, and if I don’t take good care of mine at this time of year consistently, they stay dry. This Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask has become a favorite of mine, if I use it every night it keeps my lips soft, and if not it at the least helps bring the dryness to the surface so it can be scrubbed off. I love how it actually sinks into the lips, rather than sitting on top like a heavy glob all night. The pretty pink color inclines me to use it during the day sometimes as well. I pretty much use this all year round, but it has been especially helpful this winter!

3. Freck Beauty Rich Bitch Moisturizer
Although I have dry skin, I usually stick to water based moisturizers and/or lighter moisturizers because my skin is sensitive and sometimes heavy creams can break me out. However, sometimes in the winter if I really feel like I need something more, I’ll grab this Rich Bitch Moisturizer. I have used this several times and not only has it not broken me out once, but it is an extra rich cream that actually leaves my skin feeling good, not heavy or greasy. Any residue left from this moisturizer leaves my face glow-y, not overly greasy. The key ingredients make me feel good about putting it on my face, and I’ve noticed it performs pretty well under makeup and with other skincare as well. 10/10 recommend, especially at this time of year.

4. Youth to the People Dreamy Eye Cream
One of my biggest skin concerns is under eye circles. While the darkness fluctuates throughout the year, I often feel like they are at their worst in the winter season. While in other seasons factors such as sleep, diet, and products really help them and my confidence, it seems they like to be a little more prevalent at this time of year (if I could insert a cry face emoji here I would). Buuuut, I’ve begun to notice eye creams with vitamin C really help, even at this time of year. Youth to the People never disappoints me. Their natural ingredients help me feel confident about putting their skincare on my face, and this eye cream has truly been great. If you know the under eye struggle, try it out!

5. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask
This has been a favorite face mask of mine for years and every time I run out of it I get sad. I first grabbed this product when I was using topical acne medication and was not allowed to exfoliate my face. Already having dry skin, I was desperate to do something about the flaking. A Sephora employee recommended it to me, saying the oatmeal would be good for hydration, and would also act how an exfoliant might to get rid of the dry patches. I can confidently tell you she was right. There was a period of time where I could not even get makeup on my face without using this mask first. Now, I typically use it only when my skin is feeling dull, irritated, or more dry than usual, like at this time of year! It is one of those products I hope stays around forever.

Let me know if this post was of any benefit to you! I’d love to hear any of your skincare favorites, because I’m more recently super invested than ever before. Hope you are all well and staying safe!
With Love,
Jenna
