Hi everyone! Happy October 🙂 Today I wanted to give a full beauty breakdown for the season. I am so fascinated by this year’s beauty trends, but I also love some staple fall classics that I wanted to go over as well, so I decided to combine two posts into one and here we are! I’ve said it before, but I love how the turn of the season allows you to start changing up your style and your makeup. It adds to the freshness of the season and it can be so fun to experiment. There’s also some fall makeup looks that I feel will always be in style, that I look forward to putting on every year. Let’s start with those classics and move on to this year’s trends!
My All-Time Fall Beauty Favorites:
1. Copper and Deep Bronze Eyeshadow:
AKA the trend that has persisted through the years that I am still in-love with. I believe these colors get trendy in fall because it’s reminiscent of the fall leaves and the rich tones that come with the season. I always gravitate for these shades when I want to look extra-nice in the season, like for a fun fall day or special occasion.

2. Bold Lips:
I definitely feel the most comfortable wearing darker lips colors at this time of year. As previously mentioned, deep, rich colors are trending in the fall time and a statement lip can look so polished and beautiful in tandem with the some of the other fall beauty classics. I tend to stick with wine and berry colors for either a lip stain effect or a satin or matte lipstick. However, in the past I’ve also had fun with purples and near-blacks around Halloween-time! Have fun with it!
3. Matte Brown Eyeshadow:
I absolutely love working with all tones of matte brown eyeshadow in the fall time. It’s such an easy way to liven up your eyes and still incorporate some fall colors into your look. The easiest look ever for fall is a one-tone wash of matte brown eyeshadow with some eyeliner and mascara. You can never go wrong with these colors at pretty much any time of year, but especially in the fall time, it can be so fun to experiment with several different shades of brown!
4. Deep Nude and Rosy Lips:
Break out the deeper mauve and brown-toned nudes, and your favorite classic rose lip shades! I prefer these for everyday wear and the best part is, they match almost any makeup look! I must have a variety of these shades in almost every form: lip balm, lipstick, lip stain and liquid lip. In my opinion, you can never have enough of these shades once you find what colors suit you best. These are certainly a fall staple for me!
Favorite Fall 2020 Beauty Trends:
1. Lots of Black Liner:
I can’t complain about this one. I’ve always loved my winged liner and getting creative with it. I have to say, I’ve never really been one for the all around the eye eyeliner look, but who knows, maybe I’ll end up trying it again. Whatever your favorite black liner look is, well, you can count on it being in-style this season!
2. Bare Glow:
I’m in love with this look. While rusted shimmers, deep mattes and bold looks come time mind originally for me when in fall, I like the idea of a fresh-faced glow as well. I’m all for fresh, dewy skin with any makeup (Patrick Ta and Hung Vanngo are definitely favorite makeup artists that come to mind) but I think that barely there, no makeup makeup in tandem with glowy skin and rosy tones would be absolutely stunning this season. Flushed skin is also really trendy right now, and it would look stunning with this base! Give it a try!
3. Stained Lips:
I’m so glad this beauty trend is coming back. I love how it manages to allow you to wear bold colors while still giving a soft look. I also love the staying power without the crumbling of a liquid lipstick. I cannot wait to start playing with these again. A simple way to make the stained look out of what you already have is to add lipstick to balm for a more tame look!
4. Full & Fluffy Brows:
I’m glad this trend isn’t going anywhere. I love the brushed up look that has been trending for quite some time now, and it looks like it is being taken into fall! Not to mention, it would look stunning with a lot of the other trending beauty looks this season. Lately I’ve been looking to Patrick Ta Beauty and Rare Beauty for brow inspiration, but a simple brow gel will always do the trick!
What are your favorite fall beauty trends? I saw so many this year that I loved, others I didn’t mention are the watercolor eyes and retro blue shades seen throughout summer. I loved it for the warmer seasons but I know it doesn’t match my personal style in autumn. However, I love looking at how others are wearing it this season!
